LONG BEACH NAVAL STATION was closed and the U.S. Marines wanted to buy that base and then President Bill Clinton (Marxist) said no and sold it to the Chinese Shipping Company as a payback for the illegal money he received from the Red Chinese Army to assist in his re-election. That is not theory, that is concrete Fact!
And now we have a new threat in the Oval Office to National Security and the future of the United States Navy and hope that ends soon in November 2012!
For over a century, Sailors came to San Diego for Boot Camp and schools. I went to Boot Camp and Radioman School there. See what politics has done to the Navy's premiere training facility. Both San Diego abd Orlando were closed so a Chicago Congressman could force the Navy to use Great Lakes. A base that often closes in the winter, and where no war ships can visit. Between the union and political corruption has greatly increased the Navy's training cost.
Great presentation Jerry Ballard.....just the right amount of video and audio mixture...although there are so many different maritime tunes you could have used instead of "Shenendoah" don't get me wrong, for effect it was spot on!
