The U.S.S. Iowa pulled right next to my ship the U.S.S. Butte AE-27 after the turret guns exploded on April 19, 1989 killing 47 sailors. I took several pictures of them pulling into the dock next to us that day for the ceremony and President Bush even attended the ceremony.
