US Navy ships CVN76 Carrier Strike Group Seven
The USS Ronald Reagan CVN76 2008 Tiger Cruise included 4 combat surface ships as components of the U.S. Navy Carrier Strike Group Seven, which also includes Destroyer Squadron Seven. The ships escorted us from Honolulu back to San Diego. Usually they were in picket positions surrounding the Reagan out on or just over the visible horizon. The footage in this video was a demonstration for the Tigers this year and was conducted some 1,000 miles out to Sea in the blue Pacific. Surface ships include the USS Chancellorsville CG62, The USS Decatur DDG73, The USS Thach FFG43, and the USS Gridley DDG101.
