Where were you or your family stationed?
First tour of service was with VA-85 at NAS Oceana, Virginia Beach, Va. Plane Captain and Jet Engine Mechanic on A6-E's and KA6-D's. After a brief stint as a civilian, about 9 months, I reenlisted into the Air Force as a crew chief on F111-A's at Mt. Home AFB, Idaho. From there, I did 3 years at Kadena AFB, Okinawa on F-15C's and F-15D's. I went on to Flight Engineer School and was stationed in Charleston AFB, South Carolina on C-141B's. I got out as a single father of 3 boys and went to work for Boeing in Wichita, Kansas (my home town) and have been there ever since. I did remarry 14 years ago to a wonderful woman with 3 more children. So I currently have 6 children (all grown) and 7 grandchildren.
