"I was stationed at Treasure Island from late 1980 to May of '82 as Mechanical Branch Head, Unrep. school. Heck of an assignment for a Nuc Sub Machinist Mate.Had never seen an inhaul / outhaul winch let alone a tensioning ram. Horrible learning…"

"I qualified on Patrick Henry, June 1964. A great Boat with a great Crew. I was so fortunate to sail with such professional people on my first Submarine assignment. Patrick Henry is the most special memory of my Navy Career."
