"Does any one remember the YBH? HA! I use to play music there with the Japanese band. I was their singer three nights a week. 1952-1955 I was on the LST 825, 1048 and 1158 Eng division EM rate. I have tons of pictures if I could only find them. …"
"Hello Mary. I am R. Benson and just signed on to this blog. I was in NTC in 1951 and went to Korea for a while. Got discharged in 1955. I am living in Panama City Beach, Florida.
I hope your well and happy. I am in the music business. …"
Ralph, I and my buddy probably heard you just about every time you were singing. we practically lived at the YBH. I had a girl friend who was a bar tender also had a girl friend who was a dancer up stairs. I was in boot camp when the Korean war started. Stationed in Tokyo for two years then transferred to Yokosuka in 1952 and 1953 worked in communications and had lots of liberty. We would go there at ten in the am and they would let us in and we taught them to make french fries. You are about the first guy to remember the Yokosuka beer hall. ronbrabbin@gmail.com
