Don't remember a lot from Boot....I remember taking test to qualify for an "A" school but don't remember what it was called. Funny Story...Three of us went in together from High School in Texas. Two of us qualified to a school. The other guy was in front of me in the line to ask for a particular school and he asked for ET. I was next in line and asked for ET also. He had , however, gotten the last available billet so the guy asked me if I would like to go to Fire Control Schoo.. I said hell no, I didn't like the fire fighting business . The first class just looked at me and said how about Radio School and I said OK. Glad I did...loved it. I too was lucky to have had typing in high school.
Patrick I am glad I didn't have to copy with pen and paper back in "63. ha
Good to see another RM on this site. We have a Naval Communications site, but no activity on it, I believe, since I posted. and the post are mostly IT guys and I can't relate to much of that. Just tooo darn old these days...
