Thank you for the warm welcome!
Hey Lindey. Sorry I have not commented. Using my phone right now and a bit crowded. I ill log in to the PC and see if I can get everything together. Terry Schiele
Chief Lindsey.
For some reason this site won't allow me to upload a jpg file of my old PhM2c rating badge. It is not a large file, just 60 KB. Do you have any suggestions? I would like to use it for my profile picture and the "red cross" specialty mark is what I wore.
Where did you go to Corps School and when?
Thanks Chief Ford.
I love those gold stripes on your dress blue uniform in your picture. I am pretty sure most of the Chief Pharmacist's Mates I served with are either dead or close to 100 years of age. I worked in the medical records office on board the hospital ship Benevolence under a Chief Cozart . I was a 21 year old third class when I reported aboard and made second six months later. I was 21 at the time and I believe Cozart was around 30 or 32. On the destroyer Chevalier I was a solo PhM2c for one month before Chief Mattson came aboard. I had my 22nd birthday on Chevalier and Mattson was at least 30. So if alive both of those chiefs would be 100 or over. Both had gold stripes.
Thanks Chief for the welcome and also for your service. My dad retired as an HM1 in 1968 - Korea and Vietnam Vet.
Thanks for the welcome, Chief and thank you for your service.
Thank you Chief and thank you for serving...

Smooth sailing to all
