  • Somehow managed to mistype 1991. Oh well, I'm old.

  • No I am not familiar with either of those folks. I was an NCC from 1994 to 1999 and stationed with NRD Little Rock and NRD Indianapolis.

  • Doc, (Presuming that's still OK to call HM's Doc) thanks for the "Welcome Aboard". Not sure about the "New Navy" the last time that I was @ NRMC Portsmouth VA. I asked a couple of corpsmen if they knew what an "Avaition Snake Charmer" was and they didn't have a clue so I figured no sense in asking them about any other names that you guy's have had tacked on. I noticed the "Atta- Boy" letter you recieved from Vice Adm Lando Zech. He was my Commanding Officer when I was on the USS Nautilus SSN-571 back in the early 60's and "Pinned my Dolphins"on. He was a great CO during his tour on Nautilus the crew were known as "Lando's Commando's" and by "today's Navy standards" the whole crew O gangers included would be "Fired and Sent Home"

  • Thanks for the greeting.  Before you were there!!  Are you inferring that I'm old? LOL

  • on my 29th birthday my run into the desert took me the out on a large dump truck with another groiup of Marines. At the end of of the run,  They handed over their cash and sent me in to filll the  truck bed with half ice and half beer. So I went in to base and pesented my ID, got what I asked for. I was the largest mountain of ice and beer I had ever seen. Got it returned to to the desert and let her dump.. It was quite a 21st birthday..

  • Thank you, Lindsey.  Take care my friend.
