"Last two years of navy life was aboard the USS Barnstable County [LST-1197] home ported at Little Creek, Va. I spent a lot of hours at different on base schools when the Barn was in port. Kinda strange but my best inport base."

I was on the Barnstable County from 1982 - 1985. She was still a great ship then. Just to let you know.

Hi Larry. Glad to hear from you. Do you remember any other BMs on the barnstable? How about BM2 Fred Lowe. His wife was named Nancy. Both he and I lived in base housing at Little Creek and I remember having a lot of good times there. Take Care Larry. Al Crose
