  • Hello Old Friend, I am so happy to find you here. It seems like such a short time ago that we were young and in the prime of our lives,  in Gitmo. The years have flown by for me, and the last 10 seem like 2 years. What are you doing now, and how is that sweet lady, Aili (hope I spelled her name correctly) doing? Nancy and I thought she is such a good person. As you know, I retired a few years ago, but I hated the first year so much, I considered going back and asking for my old job back. I had worked 7 days a week, and mostly 12 hour days for so long, it must have been addictive. The last 11 years that I worked was after going thru a downsizing at Kelloggs, after working for them 12.5 years. I was 54 years old at the time, wondering if at that age, just how employable was I?. Ralston foods was growing after a huge downsizing and a horrible strike. They wanted a maintenance/repair/construction supervisor with a lot of experience. I was hired, worked hard, to show them that an old guy could keep up. I went in early and stayed later then required every day. I got to the point where I really liked the job, and it became enjoyable. I did not mind at all, spending large amounts of time there. Long story short, I had some bad breaks due to plant closings. and downsizing, but I always landed on my feet. I have been fortunate, and am very thankful for the outcome. This year we will have 47 years married, 4 daughters, 3 son's-in-law, that are more like sons,  9 grandchildren, and we are very happy. I am so happy to re-connect. Bill, norriswf@aol.com,
