  • Thanks Doug. I consider it a privilege to serve my country and fellow Americans!
  • Thanks Douglas. By the way, I was in the Air Force From 1969 to 1977 which is where the Vietnam Era comes from. :-) I'm still ssailing as a Merchant Mariner. Just can't get enough of the sea. I'll upload a picture in uniform soon.
  • KEEP THE P-3 ORION AIRCRAFT UP TO CHASE RUSSIAN SUBS FROM ICELAND TO THE ACCSENION ISLANDS TO SICILY, FROM PAX RIVER MARYLAND.
  • Thanks Doug for the Welcome, I also was not in country, I guess the Gov doesn't recogize being off the coast as boots on ground.
  • Suggestion: Maybe you should have a category for 'Vietnam Era' veterans. I sure don't want to make it appear I was 'in country' when I wasn't.
  • Oops, I didn't actually serve 'in country' in Vietnam, but I was on active duty in support of troops there.
  • Hi Douglas
    Thanks for your friendship.
    God Bless You
  • Thank you. I was honorbly discharged from Orlando RTC. I just want to see how many people I can find from those days.
  • Doug, Thanks for your comment on my blog. There is nothing better than talking about your experiences with men that shared them and understand how things were and are now. Good friends are made and old ones become closer!
  • Doug, I have no excuse. After I signed on in 2008, I just completely forgot about this site until you sent me a notice about the 1000 th person to come aboard. Thanks & I will be a bit more involved now, but what can you expect from an Airdale, eh?
