  • donald i was an em2 served aboard sitkin from 65-67.i was aboard when the all the ammo broke loose over in the med in 1966 and was aboard in the shipyards in hoboken,when we had to eat and sleep aboard ship for three months while they removed all that asbestos.i left the ship in rota, spain in april of 1967.i still keep in touch with john daly and lynn raymond both ic`3.my brother richie was aboard with me but he was in the deck division.my brother and i were good friends with tommy sm3 and buddy mm3 hollis brothers.i do remember a et3 name shule.the ship has a great website look into it and you will find a lot of people and anything you want to know about the ships time in vietnam waters.or go to hull number.com you get a lot of info there also.keep in touch mickey doyle.
