"I made my 1st West Pac on the Hancock. It had a wood flight deck that was replaced in 1962 or 1963 . Was with the Black Lions of VF-213 aboard her."
" Enlisted in Williamsport, 1961, attended San Diego RTC and was assigned to a Fighter Squadron VF-213 . Mustered out in 1966. Was on the USS Hancock ,CVA 19 and the USS Kittyhawk CVA-63.Now living in the Pittsburgh area."

We were in VF-213 at the same time. I made the 1963 Wespac cruise aboard the Hancock, but missed out on the Kitty Hawk as I was our in May 1965. Nice to see some of us old timers communicating. I keep in touch with Dave Elfver from VF-213.
