Some members here get sick from time to time and yes,we are getting older. We maybe a dying breed but we are fighters. We can expect fellow sailors and soldiers may need a helping hand from above and good well wishes help too. If you know someone who is in sickbay and need such help, here is a great place to start. No one likes to find out about someone being ill after the fact and go on thinking that their prayer might of helped. We can all understand this point of veiw and here is a great place to make a difference.
I was hoping that my health would improve greatly after moving to Hawaii and it has to some degree but I keep having setbacks here and there. I had another surgery at Tripler not too long ago and I am doing better in that area but still not in others. I will try to explain more later if this computer keeps running or if Douglas can help me log in from one of my newer computers. Mahalo-Todd
Well Guys, a quick update on my case with the Lead Poisoning that me and my family has been suffering from.
I went to my first mediation hearing before a judge this past Thursday. It wash kind of a wash but not quite. One of my attorneys greeted us when we first arrived and then it kind got strange. A well dressed gentleman who I found out later was a judge not assigned to my case,is a former Marine and walked up to me and my wife and put out his hand. We shaked his hand as he said,"Semper Fi, Marine and thank you very much for your service".How did he know I was a Marine? Later,the judge assigned for my case finally came to our conference room and he was also a former Marine,said thank you and shaked mine and my wifes hand. I was like wow,I'm not use to this.
He said that may case was to early for mediation because some of the defendants attorneys haven't been getting with the program and wanted to get more things done on my case first that involved my kid's health issues from the Lead exposure. Then he blew me away and said,"Besides,your maybe asking too little $$ for your case and I read your case file from cover to cover." So that's how the other judge knew I was a marine. Mind you,it was more money than I've ever earned but he said that my kids are what's important here. I told him that I was just tired of dealing with all these doctors and lawyers and wanted to move on with my life. I also found out that this lawyer for me is a sharp Entertainment lawyer hired by the law firm for my case. I was surprised by this also. I was also told that my case is what movies are made of. This got me thinking afterwards. I was disappointed that nothing really happen with the mediation but I had gained some knowledge that kind of put me on an emotional high. What do you think?

Well I was back in the ER on Tuesday for a severe case of Vertigo. I woke up with the room spinning for hours. They got me on new meds and the last 36 hours have been a blur,lol. I think they are working but sure threw me for a loop. On my last Lead test,my Lead levels actually went up instead of down. Doc said that my body throw the Lead out at different intervals and that this will last for years this way.
You asked for it and I posted a new blog called "Saving WWII's Ewa Field" and would like you guys to read it over and post comments asap. I will contact Mr. John Bond who has been on the forefront on this battle to save Ewa Field and prevent the Dept. of the Navy of selling the land to Hunt of Texas from building a shopping mall on this beautiful piece of Marine Corps history. Thank you in advance of all your comments.

Maybe we need to get up some kind of a petition for everyone to sign to help get the Shopping Mall idea shit canned? It would be a damn shame to lose such a historical site, I know I would sign one,and I'm sure there are plenty of others who would sign too.

I've been sick since Monday and went to the doctors office again since my son needed his TB Test checked within 48 hours or do it all over again. They said that they can't do anything for me until the Ultrasound is read by a doctor at the hospital but said that they will call me tomorrow.
The local Indians here sell CD's of Flute music also and I love to hear it whenever I can. Thanks for posting that so that I can play it again and again. If I'm not too sick,I will go to Aloha and visit some friends for a while. I'm with the National Weather Service and study volcanos. I'm also part of a group of Marines that are trying to save a historic site at Ewa Field Marine Air Station which was the Japanese first first objective before the attack of Pearl Harbor in 1941. Some company in Texas wants to build a shopping Mall over it and have an important part of our history wiped off of the map forever. We are trying to get the National Park Service to rule it a National Historical Site and maybe put an air musuem there.Then we'll need to find some WWII airplanes to park there. Maybe some of you guys know some can be found?

Thanks for the heads-up! Yes,I did my Ultrasound today. The doctor forgot to send the doctors orders to the hospital but after an hour and some phone calls-Mission Acomplished!
I got sick after I got home and just woke up with another splitting headache again. I took two vicodins but didn't help. How are you doing and feeling?
Thanks John for the prayer and that Tim for the post as well. Things haven't gotten any better. Both of my kidneys are bleeding and they want to do an ultrasound and x-rays on them. They gave me some strong antibotics to take for now. I know that I'm going through hell right now but I will be rewarded for all the good things that I do later. I have put all of my anger aside and have put all of my energy into helping others. I may not be able to help myself but I still have time help others.
