Hello all....served both in the Air Force and the Navy. Most time spent was with the Navy. All memories are really great, guess the military held the best time in my life, especially in the early years when I was young. I have some special ties in the Air force and that is why I joined the Civil Air Patrol and the Freedom Through Vigilance Association.There was a deep brotherhood for members of the USAF Security Service which has evolved to the current intelligence command.
The Navy gave me the opportunity to meet many shipmates and to do something worthwhile in the cold war era. I miss both services and am really sad that every activity I was assigned to has been decommissioned and given or sold to civilian corporations.I am trying to locate photos for all my duty stations and /or histories..things I did not know when serving in the stations.
As a note , the Civil Air Patrol is a great organization. I have met great people who servied in many of our past wars and present wars (Navy,Army,Marine Corps, Coast Guard, and Air Force).
