As I mentioned before, I am new on the site and slow learner but I have already met friends and shipmates that have proved to be truly still patriots in a time when patriotism seems to be frowned upon by some. I don't know of any former military that are of that opinion but you all are as well aware of the anti American reteric bantered about of late. As I have mentioned in my book, We might be old but we would still be a terror to any who would attempt to over through this great nation, foreigh or domestic.

The biggest problem is the younger generations are not learning about the sacrifices that were made for their freedom! If not for the soldiers and sailors that gave all, there would be no Twitter, no Facebook and no cell phones! That is why it is essential and urgent that all vets take up the mantel of those whose shadows we served in (like yours) and keep that history alive! That's the main reason I am on the recruiting bandwagon!
