MY YEARS AT CHELSEA

IN MAY OF 1956 ,I WAS CALLED INTO COMMANDING OFFICERS OFFICE,I WAS TOLD THAT I WAS PICKED OUT OF THE COMPLETE NAVAL DISTRICT THE ONE CORPSMAN ,TO GO TO ANNAPOLIS,TO BECOME AND OFFICER AND A INTERN  IN THE US NAVY MEDICAL FIELD. IT WAS RECOMMENDED,BY LL HAYNES COS,CAPTIAN ROGERS,AND REAR ADM GILMORE.BEING YOUNG ,MARRIED AND A BABY AT HOME,I DECIDED NOT TO ACCEPT,THE BIGGEST MISTAKE IN LIFE,THEM YEARS I RAN THE ADMISSION ROOM AT CHELSEA,I AM NOW 81 AND STILL REMEMBER MUCH ABOUT CHELSEA
