  • Once again, thanks for your service Brother Bill, have so enjoyed your friendship over the last couple years. Also the Emails pass everyone on to friends and family. Wado, my Friend, Blue
  • I'll stick with what I said in "Sweepers Sweepers Man Your Brooms" Navy technicians were the best trained in the world. Air Force can read em N Weep. Impressive record of schooling Bill.
  • Bill two other note/question - Your posts show you involved with a reunion for the USS Carpenter DD825 - That is the one and only sister ship to the Robert A. Owens (DD827) (Carpenter Class) - just wondering what the connection is.

also I have been searching for an old friend from my first years on the RA Owens. Would like to know if there is a method as well through this Assn. We would really like to hear from him - please advise - Thanks Again
  • Yo Ron.
I am impressed with your extensive service record. Thank you.
Your various stations make my 22 months look like a vacation which is about the way I looked at it. I loved the Navy and the places it allowed me to get to visit. Especially loved Sasabo Japan and the liberties I had over there. I only did 22 months because I was a reserve. Pete Henry USS Leartes AR 20 1952/1953.
  • All service to this great country is important, Ron. Whether is was one enlistment or many years. Thank you for your contribution.
  • After my little squirt I felt lost when I got out. I can't imagine what it
felt like for you! Thanks for your service!
  • Nah, just some info. I have an entire file cabinet drawer full. Some day I may get to go through it all and thin it out a bit.
  • Wow! Looks like you got your service jacket in there!
