As a 17 yr. old kid in July of 1958 I spent 13 wks. at Great Lakes, Co. 315. It was a big change but I had a great time.

I went there in August of 1965, but the 13 weeks was reduced by about a month, if I recall correctly, due to the large amount of recruits coming in with the build up of the Vietnam War. It did not upset me to get out early and go to my first duty station in Arlington, Virginia.
