Boot Camp August '71

I was in Boot camp August 19, 1971. Company 278. CC was BMC Jones. God, I hated that man! After I graduated, and got my 1st ship, (USS Southerland DD-743) I learned to appreciate all he had taught me. I later went on to a 20+ year career, and retired in 1992 as a 1st Class Boatswains Mate! (go figure, right?) Be glad to hook up with anyone who recallsSee More
