NAS Miramar

The station is best known as the location of the TOPGUN training program and the movie of the same name. In 1996 the school was relocated to Naval Air Station Fallon. During the heyday of TOPGUN the station was nicknamed "Fightertown USA".

USS Hancock (CV/CVA-19) was one of 24 Essex-class aircraft carriers built during World War II for the United States Navy.
