GREAT YEARS AT ROTA

I was stationed at Naval Security Group but attached to Naval Communication Station Rota 1974 - 1977. Great duty station! Great Flag Football team! Lived in Rota 2 years and on base our final year. I was SK1 at that time. Returned several years later (1996) as a LCDR to audit the supply department. Wow ... the base had so many changes and upgrades. The same Foreign Nationals were still working there ... they were so confused when I knew them all by name! It was fun!See More

"What years were you stationed at NCS Rota? I was there 1974-1977 and I believe you played on our Flag Football team. Correct me if I am wrong. I was an SK1 in the Supply Department at the time. Gary Dodd was our QB."

LDO/CWO MUSTANG

"WE DID IT THE HARD WAY" "WE KNOW WHAT'S IN THE HEART AND SOUL OF THE ENLISTED MEN"LDOs perform similar tasks as those of the warrant officer (WO), but the formal definition differences are subtle and focus on the degree of authority and level of responsibility, as well as the breadth of required expertise. The term "limited duty" refers not to an LDO's authority, but rather the LDO's career progression and restrictions. Historically an LDO, prior to World War II, could only advance as far as…See More
