"I remember the hangar bay being eerily quiet after the launch that morning. PRI-FLY must have been jumping!! Got lots of Big E pics on my facebook page from both cruises! Even some from The Ditch!! Also PRI-FLY!!"

"I was there. 86 and 88 Cruise on the Big E. AIMD/IM4. That was a hell of a day. Remember cheering on the Strauss? when it pulled along side the day before it went into the gulf!! Awesome moment!!"

USS Enterprise (CVN-65), formerly CVA(N)-65, is the world's first nuclear-powered aircraft carrier and the eighth US naval vessel to bear the name. Like her predecessor of World War II fame, she is nicknamed the "Big E".
