Did my time in RTC Orlando in June `1987. Lot of fond memories. Got caught with a couple of shipmates by a Company Commander sneaking back to the barracks with sodas. We had to do pushups over the cans for hours.

"They should of named the CVN-79 the Enterprise instead of the John F. Kennedy. It will be sad to see the Enterprise go in 2012."

John Brian Francis commented on Richard J. Boersema's group USS Detroit
"Served aboard the Detroit from 1999 to 2001. Had a great time and the shipmates were great. Was in 2nd Division as a BM2. She was a great ship even with all the bad publicity she got. Was sad to see her made into razor blades."
