1957-1960

I was stationed aboard the Mighty Midway from 1957-1960 and worked in the office of "G" Division. My off duty job consisted of being a Disc Jockey on station KMID from 2000-2200 every night at sea. My program was 'Eddies Tune Shop'.Still in contact with about 50 shipmates and have had 4-reuinions since the Midway became a museum in San Diego. USS MIDWAY CVA-41, "G" DIVISION MEMBERS 1957-1960 at CROWNE PLAZA HOTEL CIRCLE

April 28, 2011 to April 30, 2011
"G" Division Reunion for Shipmates stationed 1957-1960. Will be touring the USS Midway on Saturday, April 29 with dinner and guest speaker that night at the Crowne Plaza Hotel on Hotel Circle.

"James look like you were on the USS Midway the same time I was. 57-60 I was in the 2nd divison (also 1st,3rd S-1 and Nav.) I left Aug. 60 as BMSN. I hope make trip to San Deigo soon to see the old girl I wish I could do it all over again. Well take…"

Where were you or your family stationed?
I was stationed aboard the USS Midway, CVA-41 for 3 1/2 years from late 1956 to May 1960 in G Division and was a disc jockey on station KMID with my program, 'Eddie's Tune Shop'.

Our Division is in the process of having our 5th reunion in 2011 back in San Diego and will visit the Mighty Midway.
