Naval Support Facility Diego Garcia

On 1 October 1977, Naval Support Facility, Diego Garcia, was established as the senior US Navy command on the island. At the time the NAVCOMMSTA was the primary tenant, but as the new major facilities were completed, most notably the expanded anchorage and mooring area and the extended airfield, other tenants were commissioned. From 1981 to 1987 it was Naval Air Facility, Diego Garcia.See More

Naval Air Station Patuxent River is home to the U.S. Naval Test Pilot School and serves a center for test and evaluation and systems acquisition relating to Naval Aviation.

Hi Gery,

I got a few years on you but my wife graduated from Novato High in 1965. My two daughters graduated from San Marin. I graduated from Redwood High in Larksur Ca. Wish I had moved to where you live now, this state is so screwed up.
