"Kevin I tried really hard to avoid any part of Philly. Went out he gate and got on 95 and went home when in port way to much weapons fire around there for my tastes. I like to keep it at the rifle range."

"Wow the worst thing we ever had happen was an MOOW shot himself to get out of the Navy.  Went behind MT 53 and shot himself in the side put a hell of a gouge in the side of the mount."

"Hey Terry I was on the Edson DD-946 1981 to 1985 loved that ship was B-1 LPO and had the Oil Lab for awhile.  Did 18 months homeported in Philly on FFG-15 hated that place."

"We pullrd the heating coils out of the tanks on CV-62 during a yard period somebody thought it was a good job fo the Oil Lab.  Thank God we only did the 16 service tanks otherwise we might still be there."

My salute to a senior (I don't mean age) member of the crew! I am glad in a way that I waited for the functioning head to sign on to the crew roster! Although, in the Winter when we are over on the Rennselear side of the river we do still have to use the "blue phone booth"!
