Back in 79 I came home (Philly) for a month under the HARP (Hometown Area Recruitment Program). Mind you we were stil getting a lot of negative press based on Viet Nam--and I was still surprised at the attidtudes of my generation at the time. We had just months before lost shipmates at Moffett in a crash in Adak AK (VP-9 AF-586). As a young kid in the peacetime military--that changed the concept of my reality.
Although the story was later published in The Reader's Digest (title "We Are Ditching, Ditching, Ditching")--I have to add the bravery of the crew, espesically LCDR Grisgby who lost his life saving his crew
I'm saying this to say--regardless of what is thought of military service--WE and GOD knows what we're made of and the sacrifices that are made--and that's enough for me.........EOD2 Monsoor is with his safe with his Lord--and he was honored by the baddest-of the bad-- U S NAVY SEALS!!!
Because our Sailors, Soldiers Marines and Airmen are not brave, Honorable or Courageous. They are Rapists, Murderers and Baby Killers. Just ask the Press and our elected Officials. Boy, you guys should read more and get the real facts. Ever since G.W. took power our Armed Forces have been cut drastically. Now under Presbo they will be completely dismantled.
