Fighter Squadron VF-31

Strike Fighter Squadron Thirty-One has a long and distinguished history. Its beginnings can be traced to the commissioning of the VF-1B Shooting Stars in July of 1935, flying the Boeing F4B-4.

I was stationed with VF-31, in Sanford, Florida, 1952-53.

I was with VF-31 from 2004-2006, made the final Tomcat Deployment with them.

Served with VF-31 from 1971 to 1974 as AQC in charge of the AQ shop.
