Had 3 tours with the Green Pawns.  Homesteaded in Hanger 122 with a little 4 1/2 detour over to NAMTRADET 1003.  Even found the underground shelter for the whole hanger.

Attended AE Framp school. Transferred to the Green Pawn at the end of the Gulf War and worked many, many hours and weekends catching aircrews up on training. At times it felt like the hangar turned into the wind for the next launch. :) LPO for the AE Shop, then went to Quality working all three shifts before becoming LPO. Also got my Aviation Warfare Specialist there. Alot of great people were in this squadron.

I also remember the days of the Green Pawn Squadron Patch. Never knew they adopted the old VA-176 Patch.

Picture here is my family. I was the ASDO watch from 1530-2330 M-F during my last year and a half from Nov "88" thru Apr "90". I was placed on limited duty from having my first back surgery which I fractured my back during the deployment on the USS CORAL SEA (CVA-43) "87"-"88" while attached to VA-55.
