Thanks for giving me permission to come aboard. I served on the Orion from oct 67 until july 69. Was on board when we lost the Scorpian. I was sk3 and put in charge of the infamous "submart", that great shopping mart right under the gedunk. I had more friends than the average sailor for more reasons than one. During my tour we made a trip to New York and one to Ft lauderdale Fl. We even had a day long dependents cruise.I remember how cold that pier was when we were walking back during the winter after a trip to NOB" nicks on the boulavard'. Had some good times and just wish i could remember some of the other guys names and add's. I returned back to Ark and began a career in law enforcement and like to have starved, so I went to work for UPS and retired there three years ago after 30 years. Got tired of retirement after a year and went back into law enforcement and work as criminal investigator fo local sheriff's dept. Thanks again...lets keep this site alive....Larry
