Welcome aboard Ron! The Cochrane was my very first ship. Came onboard in Feb. 1977, from HT "A" School as a HTFA. Left in June 1979 as a HT3. Have a lot of great memories of the old girl! Was onboard her for our famous 1979 SouthPac, what a cruise that was! Retired in 1996 from SIMA San Diego as a HTC. Great to have another old Cochranite onboard!

Hello, shipmates! I was WEPS on COCHRANE '81-'83. Great ship, great crew! Our CO, CDR RD Tucker, believed in working hard and playing hard. He went on to command the NEW JERSEY and became a flag officer. My guys in the weapons department were the best in the fleet. Boy, she was a great ship that could pack a punch!

I was an HT2 on the Cochrane from 1976 to 1978. Had a great time on a West-pac. Missed the South Pacific cruise. Had the best CO in the navy. CDR Gaston.
