I HAVE NEVER FORGOT MY CO. BSMMC BRACKETT. HE WAS FUNNY AND WAS VERY MILITANT WHEN NEED TO BE. REMEMBER HIM "HAVING A BUTT," WHEN THE SMOKING LAMP WAS LIT, WITH THOSE OF US WHO FOOLISHLY SMOKED THEN. HE WOULD PUFF AWAY AND THEN "THE LAMPS OUT MEN LETS GET TO MAKING YOU SAILORS." COMPANY 040 1960

John, I am quite surprised that someone did not convince you to go to RM school!

Naval Training Center, 32nd Street, DATC when I was there, Molder "A" School, Sept, 1971, Feb. 11, 1972.  Foundry-Patternmaker school is all gone now.

Boot camp in Sept of 67 and back again in 68 for A school and 70 for B school. My first three months of marriage was spent out there, we lived about 2 blocks from the beach straight out the main gate. Love traveling around San Diego and met alot of nice people while there.
