I was with the SATCOM Detachment outside of NCS. July 1985-July 1988. Played for the NCS & CONFAIRMED Softball team 3 years and the Tackle Football League. Spent last 6 months monitoring the PT Testing (Fat Boy Program). Benny's was our main hangout until Rosento left. We were regulars at Paul's and El Rancho latenight!

Again, I was at NCS Rota (AOK) in 1968 through November 1970.  Anyone remember the Tokyo Bar back in those days?  Mama-San was always working there and that family lived upstairs.  They eventually opened an upstairs portion of that bar.  That's were most of the Comm Radioman hung out.

I was stationed at NAVCOMSTA ROTA SPAIN from Oct 71 till Jan 74 as a RM3 and it was by far some of the best memories I had during my navy days.

I was stationed at NCS Rota (NSG Dept.) from Jul. 71 to Aug 75.  I was the Fleet Support Officer, then Asst. Ops, then Ops Officer/Asst. Dept. Head by the time I left.  We started our tour in the Fuentebravia Hotel and eventually moved onto the base on Logrono St.  Both children (Steven and Diana) attended DGF school.

Lots of good memories from that 3-year tour that turned into 4 years when the Navy ran out of money to move people.

I was stationed at NavComSta Rota from 1972 to 1976 as an ET-3 Crypto Tech. It was my favorite station in my 24 year career.

IT WAS CERTAINLY A GREAT PLACE. EVEN BACK I '58. GLAD TO HEAR OTHERS HAVE ENJOYED IT AS WELL AS WE DID. STILL IN CONTACT WITH A BUDDY WHO SERVED THERE SAME TIME AS I DID. WE REALLY LIKED CORDOBA, MALAGA  AND OF COURSE SEVILLA AND JEREZ DE LA FRONTERA  CADIZ BRINGS BACK SOME WILD MEMORIES TOO..

GLAD TO HEAR THAT IT HAS PROGRESSED SO MUCH.. WHEN WE GOT THERE THINGS WERE PRETTY DULL BUT WE MANAGED TO CHANGE THAT IN A HURRY.

BEFORE THE AMERICANS LANDED IN THAWT QUAINT LTITLE SPANISH VILLAGE THE MOST IMPORTANT EVENT IN THE TOWNS HISTORY WAS THE BUILDING OF THE STONE PIER WHICH WAS ORDERED BY JULIUS CEASAR WHEN HE WAS PROCONSUL OF SPAIN!!!
