Naval Regional Medical Center, Camp Pendleton, CA

Was anyone stationed at NRMC Camp Pendleton in 1978 and remember a Marine stabbing two patients to death with large scissors? I'm trying to verify this actually happened, because the NCIS looked into it and could not find anything. Any help would be appreciated.

Yes it happened. I was the x-ray tech on duty at Naval Hospital Camp Pendleton that night.
