Scuttlebutt

I was stationed at Gitmo in 1958 worked at boatshed running boats for fleet training group . Worked on the boats and after work enjoyed a cold beer at the barrel club . I think it was called  Hatuey it had a picture of a one eyed indian on the bottle . Some time if you had to many it had two eye's . I believe the Captain of the base was Capt. Boozer . I probably didn't spell it correct . We use to say his wife's name was Ima .You know Ima Boozer . Haa .I remember the good chow we had at the galley . Was a B.A.R man on the navy NEGDEF . We trained with the Marines . We use to go over the fence to get a little liberty . That was after a few beers . Had some good times there . Left some good friends there .
