Old timer but not as old. The card game we played on the ship was "Spades" I had never learned this game until I reported to the ship, but I got the hang of it. David DeRooy USS Vancouver LPD 2 V. div !971-72

Actually a lot of the guys I knew when I was in played; Backgammon and Acey-Duecy was big too but a lot of that has changed.
thanks for the reply.I was in the tin can navy cribbage was big back in 60 s, mess dock each night had many many games going on one on one and two on two.A great time.
