Navy Veterans

A Social Network for Navy Veterans of the United States of America

Hi, folks. I'm not much with computers but I received an email saying the following:
"The National Personnel Records Center (NPRC) has provided the following web site for veterans to gain access to their DD-214's online:"
http://vetrecs.archives.gov/
It looks official to me but maybe one of you, who is less computer illiterate than I am can check it out.

Hello everyone-

Mr. Karr, yes, this site is legit and i have used it before. It is part of http://www.archives.gov/ and in my opinion a very good web site for all types of stuff.

I recommend everyone to surf around this site to see what it offers.

Thanks, Tim.
But I was never an Officer and like to be called Bill or Chief if you don't mind.
Thanks again.

No problem, I do it out of respect.

Ever since I left the service, I find myself calling everyone 'sir'!

I just requested mine through them today! We'll see how well it goes!

Yes its legit but you still have to print out a form and snail mail it to the Natl Archives for signature verification. We have always been able to do that with just an old fashoined letter request.

I have used this site many times for not only my records but also my brothers and my fathers.
