We each have a story to tell. And this weekend writing workshop will help you learn how to tell it well. By using writing exercises to explore deployment and wartime experiences—the fear, the boredom, anxieties, thrills, brutality, tears and beauty—we learn how to write a story and make it compelling. Workshop participants will explore the many approaches one can take to writing about the self and will produce personal stories by the end of the weekend, in addition to include personal stories, poems, songs and plays. Opportunities to work one-on-one with professional writers during the weekend, as well as a two-week online follow up, will help continue the writing and revision process. No writing experience is needed to attend this workshop.A public reading to read your writing for those veterans interested has been scheduled for November 9th.

What you’ll need: A pen, pad of paper (or laptop)
