Reunion of members of Attack Squadron Eighty-Five (VA-85) is scheduled for September 22-24, 2011. Reunion will be held in Virginia Beach, VA to coincide with the NAS Oceana Air Show and will be headquartered at the "Ramada Inn on the Beach" in Virginia Beach.     It was a success!  Special thanks to Bob "RC" Moore for his outstanding leadership on this event.  Now that a foundation has been set, the next one will hopefully be a little easier.  Be sure to reach out to those who still aren't aware of us.  The roster list has 159 names so far,  With your help it will grow.

    Will try to attend the Reunion.  Love to see friends that have not seen since the days when I was assigned to VA-85.  (Feb 81 - Jul 84).

    Am planning on being there. As some of you know, I help care for my elderly mother and that week actually falls during my caregiving turn. I will give it my best shot to trade spots with one of my siblings. 99% sure I can pull this off. Anyone who hasn't rsvp'd yet needs to at least put a maybe so we can ride you until you agree to come.

    The Attack Squadron Eighty-Five (VA-85) reunion has been posted on NavyVets.com under the "Events" tab. The reunion is also posted on the VFW website and will appear in the VFW magazine, space permitting.
