When I was on the USS Anchorage LSD-36, we pulled into Mombasa and we stayed at this Hotel below for only $65.00 a night, We almost had the Hotel to ourselves because we arrived during off season

Thanks glad you liked it. Ya I spent my off duty time at the Reef Hotel and we were there three weeks. I loved it and it was worth every cent I spent staying there. Loved the Safari's and it was a good port to visit
Nice! I was there in 82 and again in 88 I believe. I remember the giant crossed tusks on the main drag in the shopping district. There was a hotel in the city with a large patio area facing the street, we hung out there drinking Tusker Lager.
