I was with VP8 from 72-73, crew 10. Being the ordnanceman, I was also the cook. I hope no one held that against me. My crew mates were simply outstanding individuals. I went to places I will surely never see again-Spain, Bermuda, Iceland, England, Azores. Wonderful places with wonderful friends.
I was with VP-8 from 1997-2001. Was the AV/ARM Division LCPO, then the QA Supervisor, then Maintenance Control. Also was the acting CMC for a period of time. Enjoyed the deployments.
VP-8 was my first duty station. Assigned in Oct '86 when the squadron was on deployment to Iceland. Stationed there from '86-'91. Worked in AIMD as an AT3. Did deployments to Iceland (twice), Lajes, and Sigonella.
