  • Did any one serve on the Vreeland when she was home ported in Athens, greece.  I was stationed in FSO Athens for support for USS Vreeland and five other small boys like, USS Barry, USS Wood.  USS Page and USS Sampson cand not at this time remember the 6th one.

  • I hung out with Dixon and was wondering if you have kept in touch with him. I remember we won the Gold Medal in the tug of war for the ComDesRon 12 mini-olympics.  I still have a mix tape from the Med and I have transferred it to CD currently.

  • I served aboard Vreeland from 1986 to 1988 as a Sonar Technician. Left the ship as a First Class Petty Officer. I enjoyed my time on board greatly! I still have the mix tape that was made during the Gulf of Sidra incident on my first Med Cruise. Hoping to see some familiar faces here in the near future.
  • I served on board the Vreeland from 84-87. I was in Supply Storekeeper 3rd class. I had a great time and I really hope my fellow shipmates will catch up with me. I would like to hear from as many as possible.
