Looking for any of my brothers former shipmates sadly he passed away
I was stationed aboard the Tarawa from 1989-1993, an "Operation Desert Storm" Veteran! The Air Department, V-1 Division and as part of the Flight Deck Crew back then. It was my only Sea Duty Tour and found being "Underway" to be the greatest pleasure in my life thus far. I miss being out at Sea!
I'm HTFN Green, R-Div, Shipfitter Shop, Engineering Dept. I was aboard the USS Tarawa (LHA-1) until 1989. On West Pac '87 and dry dock in Long Beach in '88. I sure miss the "Eagle Of The Sea!"
I was there from 1994 to 1998. Worked in the aft engineroom.
