Hey Durand, I am glad You got the plaque. Some one I have been in touch with from the ship. Although its been awhile. Tell your wife if she is ever cleanng out any old junk and that paque is part of it , send it my way not the trash. I saw where there was another plaque at the Knotty pine Antique shop. It sold for &108.00. You got a deal. You said you got in touch with Faulhaber , in Chicago. Could you give me any more info .I still try to locate him . Don't know if you remember Marcoux. Found him . He died 5-6 yrs ago. Give me a reply on Faulhaber.

Victor , I figured that would be the case about the Plaque. In case you or anyone is interested in a ( Duplicated) plaque, a member of the Gilmore Association makes them out of a material simular to plaster of paris. He has molds made for the Gilmore plaque , one with 2 dolphins and sub in the middle and ash tray plaque with the Gilmore in the center. He has been making and giving them to all members of the Gilmore reunion association free of charge. His name is John Hepting.
I was a EN-2 in the aft engineroom ---1960-1964 I learned to use the computer in 2008 and have rediscovered the Gilmore found these sites and Joined the reunion assoc. Its been a facinating 2 years. I hope all of you on these Gilmore sites are members of the Gilmore assoc. or are going to become membes. The cost s $10.00 per year and a reunion every 2 yrs. The next will be in 2012 in Branson MO. Hope to see you there. In the in between yrs. there is a get together . In 2011 there will be a get together in Wheeling , W.VA. thanks for this site.
