CS2 arrived 1972 thru Med deployment 73, Jack of Dust, LPO. anyone around during this time?
I was on the USS Detroit during the 1989-1991 as an OS2 working in CIC. we managed to make one deployment during the tour and we kept our commitments. The Detroit had a bad reputation prior to me getting there because it couldn't keep its commitments and it frequently broke down which led our sister ship to do an unnecessary deployment in our place. We deployed to the Red Sea area and refueled a countless number of ships. I had a great time onboard.
Served aboard the Detroit from Dec 84 to March 89. Fox Division. Nato Seasparrow. Left a Frocked FC1
Served from March 1978 through April 1977 as FTG1 during Bath Maine ship yard. Was Mess Deck Master at Arms while eating in the church and living on the APL tied along side.
