Thinking back reminds me that after Yokosuka, Subic Bay was our second Home Port. We spent a lot of time there. We got the locals to do a lot of the work then it was liberty time. I remember sitting in Mariposa's drinking Red Horse watching the crowd in the street. After a few hours we hit some pretty good clubs with live bands, not records. They could really rock. If you went to a club without live music you was in a dive. I loved going out to Grande Island for the day for swimming. Boy we did have good times. Remember the Rock n Roll Club? Jim
