  • 3439425473?profile=originalGreat bunch of Shipmates ..

  • Got aboard as OS1 in Sept'79 just before OKI-maru turned over 7thFlt in October.  Made OSC in '81 and got re-toured aboard the Navy's Finest Flagship.

Most called WestPac Deployment, but we on the Blue Ridge call it Home.

  • My first West-Pac was 1973.  Does anybody have the date we crossed the line?  My memory box was lost in a house fire.

  • Hey there Robert, here's on of your shipmates from 72-75. I was a communications officer for most of my time and CMS officer the whole time.

  • To all I was aboard from 1983 to 1987.  Good memories as ships company.

  • Hello, I was on the USS Blue Ridge from July 5, 1971 to September 26, 1974.  I was an ETN2.  I now live in Greenville, SC.  I work at WYFF-TV in Greenville.  I am a member of Navyvets and also on facebook.  Will like to hear from anyone that was the ship during my time or later.

  • Served aboard the Blue Ridge as an air traffic controller (AC 2) with TACRON 1 assigned to CTF 76 staff. Oct 1974 to May 1975. Participated in the evac of Saigon Operation Frequent Wind.  Saw everything happening on the radar display. never saw the light of day until the US ambassador was brought out to Blue Ridge.

Would love to go back and sail again

  • I was a crew member from 3/78 to 8/81. anybody else on her then?
