  • I was in the Valve Shop (31-D) Oct 82 - Sep 83, and on the SIMA Rifle and Pistol Team. I was the guy who created the logo for 31-D when the CO wanted logo's for all the shops back in 83.

  • I am hoping if any more recent vets 1993 to 1996 era ever stop on this site. To find out If the Foundry 81A ever survived. I think not since the rate did not as of 1996. Just looking for some History information that I am putting together. Thanks.

  • Stationed in the Engine shop 79 - 81 before getting called to the 4th commissioning crew of the USS New Jersey (BB-62) in Long Beach. Had many good times with many good friends. I also remember Master Chief Peterson and his VW dune buggie.

  • Hello shipmates, I was in 51B from 1878 to 1981

  • 67E Computer Repair 1994-1995

  • Design Branch 1979-1981.

  • I was in Shop 51 from Feb 81 to June 82.

  • I was stationed there from 81-83 in 31A, my first duty station out of MR'A' school. I had a lot of fun there...
  • I was assigned to the Reserve Unit out of the Rock Island Arsenal Navy and Marine Corps Reserve Center 89 -94.  I was the unit Storekeeper,  SK2.  I remember doing my two week active duty stints each year in San Diego. I remember being so happy at getting transfered to this unit since every one in the reserve unit was prior service veterans.  The previous unit was an all SK unit that had never served any time active duty except for training.  I spent six years going to SIMA during my reserve time and had a blast.
